“Create What’s Close to Your Heart and Bring Your Dreams to Reality”
Every person asks themselves a question in life – what is the purpose of their existence and how they can contribute to society and their loved ones? I ask myself this question every day. Daily life, friendship,
love – these are essential for a fulfilling existence, but everyone dreams of realizing their inner desires and intentions.
It so happened that at the beginning of my career in the early century, I encountered the best team in my life – professionals in their field, employees, and management of Eesti Näituste. Thanks to them, I understood the broad and diverse world of event organization. Their dedication to their work made me realize that this is my calling in life. I enjoy creating and uniting people as a whole, even if it’s for a short time – during the event, which usually lasts for three days. But before the event itself, there is almost round-the-clock work with participants, refining technical issues, which are countless, and, without exaggeration, one day culminates in the culmination of your work and the entire team. After the event, everything disappears to zero, and the creation of something new, a new event, begins. Isn’t that wonderful?
Each project should have its own philosophy and soul, which comes to life every day and grows into a mature event for exhibitors and visitors.
The first project created from scratch was LUXURY Temptation . The first international luxury exhibition organized in 2008 in Kyiv, Ukraine, sparked immense interest and numerous interpretations.
There was a lot of envy, threats, and slander, but we endured it all and have remained the first and unmatched to this day. Many believed that the exhibition was brought from Russia, created by local oligarchs, and everyone flatly refused to believe that it was created by a person from Estonia, representing Estonian business and, most importantly, talented individuals. The exhibition was a success and widely covered in the media as the brightest and grandest event of the year. The project continued for many years, underwent modifications, gained immense attention, and earned respect from Ukrainian and international partners. The first exhibition was created in six months! It was a record in organizing such large-scale events. The main theme of the event – “Success Philosophy Must Be Demonstrated.”
The next project was IGExpo INTERGAME 2013 in Tallinn, Estonia – the first international game developers’ conference, widely covered in local media.
A great team, dedicated work, and a professional approach did their job. I’ll reveal my plan – we will repeat IGExpo in a slightly different format and will soon announce the exact date of the event. I promise it will be something unique.
In 2022, I learned that Tallinn would be the “Green Capital of Europe” in 2023. And do you think I ignored this news? For several months, day and night, I delved into this topic and realized that many professionals are involved in this field. As a sign of deep respect for their work, I decided on this project and began creating it. Not everything went as smoothly and well as I wanted. There was a lot of resistance from various forces and structures. However, the First International Exhibition GREENEXPO 2022 took place, and we entered the market.
GREENEXPO 2023 reaffirmed our intentions and efforts in this area. Considering all the mistakes and positives, I decided to hold the next event in 2025 at a completely different and higher level.
I will announce the exact date and time after DEFEST EXPO 2024.
And now we come to the event, which, in my opinion, is the most important and grandiose, on which we are currently working closely with the Eesti Näituste team and the entire professional team of project managers and exhibition builders.
What prompted us to address this topic? Of course, the first thing is the global situation. And the second thing I would like to explain more about. In my veins, many bloods flow. My great-grandfather was a royal official in Kaunas. I love Estonia with all my heart, and I am a citizen of Ukraine. Do you think that, according to propaganda, I should tear myself apart?
Every day I started to think about when the war in Ukraine began, what can be done when you are no longer of conscription age. But when I began to delve deeper into the topic, I realized that Estonia needs to pay a lot of attention to the defense of the civilian population in case of military actions or terrorist attacks. 99% of the population doesn’t know what to do in such situations. We don’t know who and how will protect us and how to act in extreme situations.
And what each of us who loves their country can do and be useful.
What will the army, police, firefighters, military medics, and many other services do, which, even in peacetime, risk their lives every day, and we are unaware of their exploits? And they are heroes! Do we consider our lives more important when others are at risk? It is unjust to the work of those who think about us civilians every day and every second.
So, in this event – the first in Northern Europe, we will organize everything so that participants from around the world demonstrate their solutions for their nations.
